This installation is part of the Milwaukee Public Market’s Holiday Window Display, a collaborative project with the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) that transforms St. Paul Avenue into a festive public art experience. Until January 31, ten large-scale, student-designed window installations light up the block between Broadway and Water Street, each offering a unique reflection on winter, creativity, and community.
About the Art: Milwaukee Tapestry is a large-scale vector artwork composed of smaller illustrations celebrating Milwaukee’s most iconic winter scenes, landmarks, and experiences. Designed in the spirit of a traditional wall tapestry, the piece narrates the story of winter in the city while evoking the aesthetic of a modern travel poster.
Woodcock drew inspiration from her love of the holidays and their ability to bring people together. Moving to urban Wisconsin as a student deepened her appreciation for the city’s atmosphere and sense of connection. Through this piece, she sought to capture the beauty of shared experiences and the joy of collecting memories across seasons.
About the Artist: Tatum Woodcock is a Wisconsin native whose work draws from personal experiences and emotions to create designs that connect with viewers on a human level. She is a senior at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, pursuing a BFA in Communication Design. Woodcock is dedicated to expanding her creative process and building meaningful visual stories that resonate and inspire.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
