This installation is part of the Milwaukee Public Market’s Holiday Window Display, a collaborative project with the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) that transforms St. Paul Avenue into a festive public art experience. Until January 31, ten large-scale, student-designed window installations light up the block between Broadway and Water Street, each offering a unique reflection on winter, creativity, and community.
About the Art: Crafted Together combines the delicate textures of paper snowflakes and doilies in a bright, illustrative vector style. The piece captures the warmth and simplicity of crafting traditions shared among families and friends during the holidays.
Turnbull sought to merge the themes of gathering and creating—evoking memories of handmade decorations and the joy of shared creativity. By juxtaposing intricate detail with playful forms, she expresses the connection and nostalgia that crafting can inspire during the winter season.
About the Artist: Jessika Turnbull is a senior at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design majoring in Communication Design with minors in Art History and Advertising. She is a passionate graphic designer and photographer who enjoys combining both disciplines to create meaningful, personality-driven projects. Turnbull is drawn to the process of design and the journey that leads to a fulfilling creative outcome.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
