Here you will learn how to craft the perfect chicken shawarma— a street food dish made by marinating thin slices of chicken in warm spices—using traditional techniques, including how to season and stack the meat for authentic flavor and texture. You will also learn how to make quick-pickled vegetables and complementary sides and dessert that complete the meal.

In this class, you’ll learn to make and sample:

  • Chicken Shawarma on Pita with Lemon Tahini, Kalamata Olives & Quick Pickled Red Onions
  • Middle Eastern Fried Rice
  • Baklava

Class size is restricted to 35 participants. Early registration is encouraged.

About the Chef:

Known for her engaging teaching style and deep appreciation for Southern flavors, Staci Joers has been delighting palates and educating cooking enthusiasts for over a decade. Free Parking

Parking is available in the Market's main lot just off of Water Street. Make sure to bring your parking ticket to the class for validation.

Cancellation

Reservations are non-refundable, however you may send someone else to take your place. If we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be made.

Want to enjoy a beverage during your class experience? A variety of beer, wine, cocktails, and soda are available to purchase during the class. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
